My Birthday 2008

Hi

I'm putting a post on today as Christmas is a bit of a double whamy for me as the 27 December is my birthday. I wanted to share a couple of my presents with you, the first is a gorgeous solid silver spoon, it was given to me by my friend Sylvia.

Sylvia wrote in the card.

What can you do with this ?

I think thats a challenge lol:) I think it will become a ring.

The second gift is a stunning sunflower pendant made by my friend Kate.I was thrilled that one of my students had made a piece of bespoke jewellery just for me. I was especially pleased with the syringed line letter L with the little diamante set in the centre.

Hello

I thought I would Just put a little post on before Christmas.

This is something I've been working on for me, I do not normally keep my jewellery but this is one I just couldn't part with, it's a large pendant in a backed hollow form.

I hope the bamboo looks like bamboo as it did take an age to get that right.

I have no idea where the idea came from, it did just pop into my head. Now there are all sorts running round in there lol:)

Silver Coated Lava Beads

Here is something I've be working on.

In Our bead shop we sell lava beads and lots of them, a friend ( Emma Baird well know lampwork artist and Senior Art Clay Instructor ) told me that you could paste art clay silver onto the lava bead and then fire it in the kiln.

So what did I do? I had a ago. This is how my beads turned out I really like them.

Bronzclay

I thought it would be nice for my first post to share some of my bronzclay projects with you all. I hope you like them.

I been playing with bronzclay for a while and really enjoy working with it. Bronzclay is so cheap you get loads for your money.

I'm running my first workshop 25 Jan 09 and aready its fully booked I can't wait.
