My bird house

I have always wanted to make a bird house and never got round to do one so two days ago I made my little bird house, which I am very pleased with.
The photos aren't great but the first is with a patina and Keith moaned that I patina everything, so I added a chain which removed the patina.

So my question is which way should I have it patina or NO patina????

Is keith right or am I ????

I have been making big but on the cheap

These are three large pieces of jewellery I have been working on.

Made with cooper clay and silver clay.

The first is my Tiki Masked Man.
Then as requested by a customer a large shell ( I haven't made shells for such a long time ) with a silver star fish and pearl.

The last is an experiment.
This is a large flower in copper clay with a silver clay centre. I then added colour.
I love the different effects you can get with just adding a pearl or some colour and silver.

FAM 2012 MAY

Here are my 4 projects for FAM the four a month challenge.
I have been playing with glass again and made five projects this time.

These are up-cycled keys from our key bar, when the staff cut them in correctly they are put to one side for re-cycling, so I thought I would use some in my jewellery and made lamp work beads to make an interesting key chain necklaces. I love em ;-D

This is mine to keep ;-) The rest are for sale and are on display
in my studio for our local Chichester art trail starting
this Saturday. I hope some of you can make it.

Art work done.

All the art work is done for my commission bowls and the large one is in the kiln slumping this morning.
When I go home tonight the other two will go in for the first fusing.
Heres a sneaky peak without any colour.
Keith took the commission bowls to the shop for collection and the customer was over the moon with them but sadly in the rush to get them done for today, I completely forgot to take photos.
GUTTED.
I can't even ask for her to bring them back because the are off to the USA tomorrow ;(

Yesterday was a Studio day, for me.

I had a day on my torch and made a few beads, I then turned my hand to making a ring, that is a bit special for me.
Before my Mum passed away last year she gave me a little silver pinky ring that she used to wear all the time. I had an awful little moonstone on it but never the less she loved it.
It was miles to big for me, so I finally decided after all this time I would make a new ring top so I could wear it on my index finger.
This is my first ever lamp worked cabochons which is now set in a simple bezel and attached to my Mums ring, I am actually very pleased with it and today I am wearing it with pride.

Also here are some of the beads I have been making. This is all Flame offs fault!!!!!!
I have turned into a lamp working machine lol.

This is some of the reaction glass I have been using.

This glass is made of reaction glass on different transparent and silver foil.
I really like these bead

My Jewellery in the local art Gallery

Here's a sneaky peak at my jewellery display in the Ox market local gallery and when I mean local its just outside our back door lol.
If you are in the Chichester area then please go check it out, as there are 140 artist displaying some very cool stuff.
This is a very bright and bold display from me but I really did enjoying making those lamp work beads.
I am secretly hoping the disc necklace doesn't sell.
I want to keep that one.
